The trees are cleared, and it looks so different! Site preparation is expected to last four to five weeks, weather permitting. First, the construction area will be cleared. The roughly 3 acres to be cleared front Route 22, so you will be able to see all of the trees that come down. Initial work will also include proper retention and notification fencing to protect the delineated wetlands on the site.
Inside the construction area, there are two mature trees that we will fence off to protect; a maple and an oak. The other trees are either inside the finished construction boundary, or they are invasive species, or they are native species which have been compromised by invasives and/or vines and cannot be saved. Once construction is complete, we will use native trees and grasses in our landscaping and re-planting.
