The mission of the Bedford Village Fire District is to facilitate fire, rescue, and ambulance service within the boundaries of the district.

How?

A board of 5 elected Fire Commissioners, who must be residents of the fire district, serve staggered 5-year terms. The Board of Fire Commissioners uses your fire tax money to provide, maintain, and manage the personnel and equipment that the Bedford Fire Department needs to provide the best fire and emergency medical service possible with the resources we have.

Equipment includes the firehouse, the fire trucks and ambulances, protective gear for our first responders, firefighting equipment and medical supplies. Managing our volunteer personnel includes training, outfitting, and insurance.
