Following the approval from the community on January 14th, the New Firehouse Committee, the BVFD Commissioners, structural and civil engineers, and a construction manager have begun working closely with the project architect to begin the planning, in detail, of the new firehouse/emergency services department. The goal is to have final drawings complete in July, bidding in August, contract negotiations in September, and the ground-breaking in October.

In the coming months, the BVFD will submit regular updates through the Town Supervisor’s newsletter and monthly e-blasts to our entire mailing list. Some residents from the neighborhood surrounding the site have already volunteered to learn more about the planning, provide appropriate input and help distribute accurate information.
